Softwrights Reminder... Computer Requirements

Softwrights Reminder was engineered to be uncommonly efficient. Disk and RAM usage are extremely small due to efficient programming (tight coding) and real-time decompression that allows files to remain compressed on disk with no performance penalty.

Recommended Requirements... PC 80386 or better, VGA monitor or better, Windows 95/98/NT or 3.1, hard disk with 160 Kilobytes (Lite Edition) or 497 Kilobytes (Multimedia Edition) of disk space. A Windows-compatible sound card is recommended (but not required) for the Multimedia Edition.

How To Install Softwrights Reminder

If you are downloading from a download store... All Softwrights Reminder files and a commercial install program will be downloaded in one bundled executable file like: SREM_MM.EXE. To install, get to the Run command prompt and double-click on the filename (or enter it manually).

If you are not downloading (purchased from a retail outlet, sales rep, or direct from Softwrights) then you will install from Softwrights' custom made SETUP.EXE program. Follow these steps (instructions are on the disk label):

Insert the Softwrights Reminder floppy disk in drive A (or drive B)
Do one of the following:
- From Windows 95/98/NT, get to the Run command prompt (press the Start button then select the Run... option).
- From Windows 3.1, get to the Run command prompt (from the Program Manager, select the Run... option from the File pull-down menu).
Enter a:setup (or b:setup if disk is in drive B)... Or double-click on the setup.exe file from Windows.
The first screen lets you specify the location (disk drive and directory) where you want to install the program files.
The next screen gives you the option to automatically start Reminder whenever you start or re-boot your computer by including Reminder in Windows' StartUp group.

How To Start (Run) Softwrights Reminder

From Windows 95/98/NT press START, highlight PROGRAMS, select Softwrights Reminder ... Or double-click a shortcut (if you optionally installed one or more shortcuts in one or more of the optional locations given in the Setup program).

From Windows 3.1, double-click the Softwrights Reminder desktop icon.
